Holger spent his teenage years in the 1980s listening to punk, electropop, new wave and, above all, the Sixties revival of the time. Under the pseudonym Holger2000, he started DJing at easy listening parties in the early 1990s, then got completely caught up in techno fever and, together with two DJ friends, launched the eclectic party series Stereokiller in 1995. The music featured drum and bass, trip hop, acid jazz and house. At the same time, he DJed regularly on Tuesdays in Hyde Park. He also made a name for himself as a chill-out DJ at techno parties. In the 2000s, more party series and DJ collectives followed: Die Plattenbauern, Die Üblichen Verdächtigen, Das Elektronische Ereignis. At some point, he pulled the plug, left the club and returned to the stage, founding the krautrock minimal rock band Von Korf. He earned a doctorate in musicology and is currently working in his chosen profession, true to the motto: ‘Let me through, I’m a pop music historian!’
